Message from the Dean

We would like to welcome you to the webpage of the School of the Arts and Education Sciences. The School, which is considered to be the youngest of the University, aims to cultivate an academic environment that will offer high quality education in the disciplines of Education Sciences and Arts, as well as actively promote and increase research in both particular scientific fields. 

 

At the same time, the School aspirations reside towards contributing constructively to the development and enhancement of the social role of the University. That three-fold objective is shared by the academic and administrative personnel, as well as the students of the School. In an attempt to accomplish its aims, the School works closely with the various Bodies and Departments of the University, as well as equivalent Educational Institutions in Cyprus and abroad. The School constitutes of two departments, the Department of  Arts and the Department of Education Sciences. In the Department of Arts two undergraduate four year programs of study and one postgraduate program of study leading to a Master’s degree are offered in the disciplines of:

 

 

The Department of Education Sciences offers two four year undergraduate programs of study leading to a Bachelors degree, two postgraduate programs of study leading to a Masters degree, as well as a PhD Program in Education with two concentrations (Education Leadership and Special (Inclusive) Education) as follows:

 

 

In parallel and with the purpose of enhancing its social role and its commitment towards promoting innovative approaches in research, the School has established a number of research laboratories and an educational centers as follows:

 

 

The distinguished faculty, employing outstanding educational techniques and aptitudes based on contemporary educational trends, alongside with their involvement in a number of European and local research programs, as well as their engagement in a plethora of activities are proactively contributing towards the fulfilment of the School’s vision, for a humanitarian education and excellence.
