Profile

Eleonora Papaleontiou - Louca is an associate professor in Psychology at the European University Cyprus, coordinator of the Psychology program, Vice-Chair of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and a Special Scientist in the University of Cyprus. She has a Bachelor degree in Education (Pedagogical Academy of Cyprus and Aristotle University of Thessalonica), an M.A. in Education (University of Reading, U.K.) and a PhD in Developmental / Educational Psychology (Cardiff University, U.K.). She participated in many international and local conferences and published many articles in Greek and international journals. She has also published the books: «Σύγχρονες Προσεγγίσεις στο Πρόγραμμα του Νηπιαγωγείου», εκδ. Τυπωθήτω, “Metacognition and Theory of Mind”, Cambridge Scholars Publications, U.K. and “Metacognition: Theory and Practice” Thymari Publications, Greece.  Dr E. Louca has also given to parents about a hundred of lectures, related to psychological issues and children’s upbringing, and participated in several TV presentations and broadcasting talks. Her research interests include: Metacognition, Theory of Mind, Language Development, Emotional Development and Emotional Intelligence, Creativity in Teaching /Learning.
