Laboratories

The University computer center houses 8 PC-Labs. Each PC-Lab is equipped with 30 personal computers using latest technology. All labs are fully networked under Microsoft Windows 2003 and Unix using the computer center servers. Furthermore each PC has full access to the Internet. The PC labs PCs mainly run on Windows XP and support application software and programming languages such as Internet browsing, Microsoft Office Professional, Microsoft-Visual Studio. NET, C++, Java, Visio, Oracle SQL, MySQL, SPSS, and more. The Labs are extensively used by students taking classes in computer science and by students of other disciplines. During the periods that the PC-Labs are free from classes they are available to the students for practicing and carrying-out their assignments. In addition to the PC-Labs the computer center houses a computer lab with another 55 PCs which are also fully networked and provide the same services as the PC-labs. The computer center main lab is exclusively available to students for carrying out their University assignments or for exploring the Internet. European University Cyprus believes in encouraging all staff and students to make use of the Internet as a valuable part of University life and many have their own personal pages for which they themselves are responsible.
