The University has a broad portfolio of research activity, spread across departments and schools. Research activity is centred in the Schools and research centres/institutes that include the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Business and the School of Computer Science and Engineering.
The University operates a number of research centres and units, which among others include the Centre for Applied Research (CAR), the Research Support Unit (RSU), the Institute of Political and Social Studies and the Centre for the Study of Childhood and Adolescence (CSCA). The I. Gregoriou School of Business Administration / Department of Management and Marketing has established three research units, Crisis and Risk Management, Marketing and Public Relations, Management Development Business - Government & NGO relations, and one interdisciplinary Laboratory for Business Ethics and Society (LaBES).
The University since 1988 is also publishing the interdisciplinary Journal of Business and Society to provide an interchange of ideas among businessmen, executives, scientists and academicians who are concerned with economic, business, social and technological issues and practices.
