The Cyprus Jazz Workshop (CJW) is taking place for the second time in July 2016, featuring renowned international jazz artist/educators from various countries.
The workshop is open to all individuals, regardless of age or abilities, on most instruments (please check the online application for instrument list). Courses taught will include Jazz Improvisation/Jazz Theory, Jazz Master Classes, Jazz Combos, Jazz Big Bands, plus Faculty Concerts each day. The final concert featuring all the Cyprus Jazz Workshop groups will take place on Thursday, July 14th at 8:30pm. The Concert will take place at the Cultural Center of European University Cyprus and is open to the public free of charge.
Tuition for the workshop is the same like last year (€125) which includes a 2016 Cyprus Jazz Workshop t-shirt.
Faculty of the 2016 CJW are: Mariano Abello (saxophone), Denny Euprasert (piano/conducting), David Glenn (trombone), Kyle Gregory (trumpet), Giorgos Krasidis (saxophone), Cahit Kutrafali (bass), Paolo Orlandi (drums), Loizos Paphitis (el. guitar), Marios Toumbas (piano) and Ioanna Troullidou (voice).
Registration and Auditions will be held on Saturday, 9th July from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. All classes begin on Sunday July 10th at 9:00 am at European University Cyprus.
Applicants must be citizens or have a valid Visa/Residence Permit for the Republic of Cyprus.
