The Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017 opens in Cyprus with “
” on Wednesday, November 8th 2017, 18:00, at European University Cyprus.
The event will host influential speakers, accomplished entrepreneurs, investors and key stakeholders. They will present success stories, best entrepreneurial practices and funding tools with an aim to empower aspiring entrepreneurs to ignite their startup dreams.
Guest Speakers include:
George VARDAXOGLOU, Strategic Partnership Manager at “Innoetics”, the Greek, text-to-speech technology spin-off that landed a multimillion acquisition deal, earlier this year, with Korean giant “Samsung”.
Costas MANTZIARIS and George VARELOGLOU founders of “Mindworks” the Greek digital marketing agency that shot to international prominence in 2015 when it was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network”. Since then it has been renamed “isobar & iProspect Greece”.
Ion TSAKONAS, the C.E.O. of PJ Tech Catalyst Fund and the Head of Piraeus Private Equity Partners since January 2015. He serves on the board of a number of companies most notably Pollfish, PvPro, Inaccess, ASA Recycling, Centaur Analytics, Intale.
Opening remarks will be made by Mr. Dimitris DIMITRIOU, Member of Parliament – House of Representatives, Mr. Panayiotis SENTONAS, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Youth Board of Cyprus, Mr. Chrysanthos TSOUROULLIS, CEO OF Dias Publishing Group, Mr. George BOUSTRAS, Associate Professor in Risk Assessment at European University Cyprus & Dean of the Ioannis Gregoriou School of Business Administration and Ms. Anna KOUKKIDES PROCOPIOU, Spokeswoman for presidential candidate Nicholas Papadopoulos.
The co-founder of Industry Disruptors – Game Changers (ID-GC), Michalis STANGOS and the acting Director of GEN Cyprus, John GEORGOULAS, will open this year’s Disrupt Cyprus.
Furthermore, the final stage of Disrupt Cyprus Cup III will take place at the event. Finalists will pitch their ideas live and claim prizes of 30.000€ that include, a special Youth Board of Cyprus Award, participation to international competitions and business support services.
