Students of European University Cyprus secure professional training positions during 17th Employment Forum

 

The annual Employment Forum organized by the Careers Center of European University Cyprus resulted in students securing employment positions drawing praise from the Minister of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance, Ms. Zeta Emilianidou.

Fifty-five companies and organizations from all sectors of the Cypriot economy participated in the 17th Employment Forum attracting hundreds of students from the university. Students were briefed on new trends in their relevant professional sector, filled in application forms for training opportunities aimed at maximizing their job seeking efforts and in some instances were able to secure practical training posts.

The Director of the Career Office of European University Cyprus, Ms. Eleni Markantoni said the Forum institutionalized the link between the job market and the student community, while Minister Emilianidou pointed to the importance of cooperation between all interested parties in tackling youth unemployment.
