Two Full Doctoral Scholarships
The Centre of Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences (CERIDES) was established with a Senate decision in March 2016. The Centre for Risk and Decision Sciences aims to become the reference point for Risk and Decision Science related subjects in South Eastern Europe. This new Centre will provide a holistic offer to the academic and business world. The Centre will be based on the offering of educational (taught), research and consulting solutions. The Centre will emerge from the synergies that have been identified between the Center for Risk, Safety and the Environment (CERISE) and the Decision Support and Systems Optimization (DSSO) Laboratory. This will be the first cross-disciplinary, cross-School CoE at EUC. The areas of focus of the CoE will revolve around the development, use and evaluation of primarily quantitative and to a lesser degree qualitative methods in order to measure, assess, manage and communicate risk, and to analyze, design and implement decision-making mechanisms and systems. European University Cyprus, marking the establishment of its first Centre of Excellence gives 2 full doctoral scholarships to outstanding candidates. The scholarships will be awarded to most capable candidates in two thematic areas that are attached, one in the doctoral program in Occupational Safety and Health and one in the doctoral program in Computer Science.
