"Young Researcher 2015" Professor P. Papageorgis,

Dr Panagiotis Papageorgis, Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology in the Department of Life Sciences of European University Cyprus has been awarded the “Cyprus Research Award – Young Researcher 2015” of the Research Promotion Foundation of the Republic of Cyprus in the thematic section “Life Sciences” for his work on the «Identification and functional characterization of novel genes involved in breast cancer metastasis».
Dr Panagiotis Papageorgis was awarded this prestigious award by the Minister of Finance Mr. Harris Georgiades during a special ceremony organized by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation to recognize distinction in research and the importance of innovation and research in economic and social development of the country.
This is the second year in a row that a faculty of EUC receives this prestigious prize following last year’s award to Dr Thomas Papadopoulos of the Department of Law.
