Computer Science

The BSc in Computer Science at EUC provides students with a breadth of knowledge and range of technical skills in theoretical and applied aspects of the field. Through educational robotics, students gain hands-on experience with computer programming. The program covers not only the traditional areas of Software Engineering, but also all of the major evolving areas of Computer Science. Students are equipped with solid foundations in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Computer Networks and Security and Big Data. The program provides graduates with a strong foundation in technical skills, an understanding of the business environment and the ability to communicate these skills to the end user. The BSC in Computer Science at EUC is recognized by the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).
Computer Engineering
( 4 years , Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Computer Engineering at EUC equips students with the software, hardware and electronics engineering skills required to design, deliver and maintain computing systems. Students gain a firm foundation in the principles and theory of Computer Engineering. The program provides students with skills in the newest software techniques as well as digital electronics. Our students develop practical skills through extensive design project work in teams, covering computing, robotics, electronics and embedded systems.  An essential component of the program is hands-on lab work to design and develop a solution to a real-life problem. Students participate in internships to boost their CV prior to graduation. The Computer Engineering degree at EUC is recognized by the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).
Computer Information Systems
( 4 years , Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Computer Information Systems at EUC equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop, program and manage information systems, mobile and web applications and websites. An interdisciplinary program, the Computer Information Systems courses give you skills to integrate the hardware and software, the people and the business strategy of an organization into an effective and efficient resource that serves the economy and society. The program is closely linked to the Start-Up Center powered by Microsoft at EUC and its partner organizations exposing students to the latest industry trends and enabling them to collaborate with, support or create start-ups.  Students gain hands-on experience and marketable skills through wide-ranging local and international projects and internships. The degree enables one to understand the integration of technology, strategy and people—a valued qualification in every organization.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
( 4 years , Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at EUC enables students to specialize with either an energy focus (production, distribution and renewable energy) or a telecommunication focus. The program emphasizes the knowledge and skills required in a fast-changing industry, so that students are able to appropriately design, develop, evaluate, maintain and upgrade electrical and electronic systems. Students gain skills in electrical installations, design and maintenance of communication systems, electrical circuits and control boards.  Our students participate in internships at leading Cypriot or multinational companies active in the field of Electrical and Electronic Systems and Telecommunications, such as CYTA and Hellas Sat.  The Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree at EUC is recognized by the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM).

Cybersecurity (Distance Learning)

The MSc in Cybersecurity at EUC addresses the increasing demand for innovative approaches to the complexities and multidisciplinary character of cyber security policy and practice.  Students are equipped with technical skills and an understanding of law, risk management, ethical hacking and cryptography as these relate to cybersecurity. Students gain skills allowing them to develop and implement cyber security policies in public and private organizations.  Students undertake research with the Department’s laboratories and research centers and are equipped for employment in a range of industries or for doctoral studies in the field.
Artificial Intelligence (Distance Learning)
( 18 months )
The MSc in Artificial Intelligence at EUC aims to train and educate skilled leaders in the field and to address the emerging needs of the market. With an in-depth study of AI theory and practice, students are equipped with technical skills and an understanding of machine learning, big data analytics, AI in gaming and robotics, natural language processing and deep learning. Students undertake research with the Department’s laboratories and research centers and are equipped for employment in a range of industries or for doctoral studies in the field.
Computer Science
( 18 months )
The MSc in Computer Science at EUC enables students from other disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Education), along with Computer Science graduates, to develop advanced skills and knowledge in core and specialized topics in the field. Following a comprehensive and global view of computer science’s core areas, students choose a specialization in an emerging technological area such as Machine Learning, Web Technologies and Human-Computer Interaction. A major component of the program is the research project in which students undertake independent, scientific research and development work, preparing them to undertake PhD level studies or enter a wide range of careers across countless industries.
Occupational Safety and Health
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Occupational Safety and Health at EUC provides students with advanced knowledge and skills to identify hazards, evaluate risks and recommend control methods in different situations.  Multidisciplinary in nature, the program equips students with high-level theoretical and practical training, including the fundamentals of engineering, psychology, sociology and health sciences. Students are able to define and explore their specific area of interest for research and master’s thesis.  Graduates receive full recognition for registration as Consultants for External Services for Provision of Preventive and Protective Services for Occupational Safety and Health issues (EXYPP), as defined by the Ministry of Labour.
Cybersecurity

Computer Science
( 3 years, Doctorate )
The doctoral degree in Computing/Computer Science provides the future PhD holders with the necessary skills and abilities to become successful academics, demonstrating an excellence in research and making a significant contribution to the local and international research community in the field of Computing/Computer Science. Through a minimum of 3 years, candidates develop critical thinking, formulate their own opinions, acquire research skills, and become autonomous researchers able to plan, develop, implement and coordinate research studies as well as to reason and present their findings to the international scientific community.
Occupational Safety and Health
( 3 years, Doctorate )
The PhD program in Occupation Safety and Health includes theoretical coursework and research components of theoretical reinforcement through the delivery of three high class fundamental classes and a research part that will concentrate in the area of choice of the candidate.  The program prepares graduates for international careers’ in Academia or as senior researchers and consultants in both private and government organizations. Doctoral students have the opportunity to participate in research projects and other initiatives of CERIDES (Excellence in Innovation and Technology) at our University.

Bachelor Degrees

Nursing
( 4 years, Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Nursing at EUC prepares our students to become health professionals at the front line of patient care. Students are equipped with the scientific knowledge, medical and communication skills and clinical training to contribute to the provision of top quality healthcare around the world. The program has been approved by the European Commission in accordance with the European directive on mutual recognition of professional qualifications between member states—enabling our graduates to work anywhere in the European Union. Our students carry out clinical training and practice at public and private hospitals and graduates are registered with the Cyprus Nursing and Midwifery Council. Graduates are able to begin working in the healthcare sector or continue to postgraduate studies to specialize.
Occupational Therapy
( 4 years, Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Occupational Therapy at EUC is the first and only undergraduate program of its kind in Cyprus and Greece. The program prepares our students to support the rehabilitation process through evaluation and application of treatment as a tool for growth, recovery or sustainability of living and work skills. Students are trained in state-of-the-art laboratories and research infrastructures and begin gaining clinical training from the first year of the program. Whether assisting seniors with mobility, helping patients regain skills after injury or aiding children with disabilities with their skills development, our graduates are able to help restore people’s way of living through practice and research. Graduates enjoy excellent employment prospects as the demand for occupational therapists is very high.
Physiotherapy
( 4 years, Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Physiotherapy at EUC is the first program of its kind in Cyprus and enjoys full accreditation in Cyprus (DIPAE) and Greece (DOATAP). The program provides students with essential clinical training and practice in hospitals, physiotherapy centers and sports teams.  Students are trained in state-of-the-art laboratories and research infrastructures and are well-equipped with skills that allow them to begin immediately upon completion of the degree. Graduates are entitled to sign onto the Physiotherapy Registry after applying to the Cyprus Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Establishments Registration Council.
Technology of Radiology and Radiotherapy
( 4 years, Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Technology of Radiology and Radiotherapy at EUC is the only program of its kind in Cyprus. Equipping students as technologists with the knowledge and skills to operate x-ray and digital imaging machines, digital mammography equipment, computed tomography (CT scan) machines and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine modalities (SPECT and PET scan) and linear accelerators. The program addresses a demand in the market with the implementation of the national health system. Students are trained in state-of-the-art laboratories and receive core knowledge and competencies for entry into professional practice as well as tools for lifelong learning that new technologies will require. The program provides students with essential clinical training and practice in hospitals, medical centers and diagnostic laboratories under the supervision of experienced and highly-qualified medical educators.  Graduates are entitled to register with the Cyprus Council of Radiology Technologists and Radiation Therapy Technologists to receive the license to practice their profession.
Speech and Language Therapy
( 4 years, Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Speech and Language Therapy at EUC combines theoretical training and clinical practice to equip students with the skills necessary to prevent, diagnose and treat speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders. Students complete three semesters at the university’s Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic under the supervision of experienced speech-language therapists before they are placed externally in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, diagnostic centers and rehabilitation centers for further practical training. Students are able to observe and participate in actual clinical sessions at the well-established and busy EUC Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic on campus, offering a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for children and adults.  Graduates are fully recognized by the Cyprus Association of Registered Speech–Language Pathologists.

Master Degrees

Midwifery
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Midwifery at EUC is the first postgraduate program of its kind in Cyprus and Greece.  The program’s renowned faculty prepare students to support the prenatal and perinatal care of mother and infant and to acquire the required clinical skills as specified by the International Confederation of Midwives.  Students undertake training in state-of-the-art medical facilities on campus enabling them to participate in advanced training and research. Practical training in maternity wards in public and private hospitals enable students to gain specialized experience in perinatal care.  Graduates of the program fulfil the criteria to sign on to the Register of Midwives of the Cyprus Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at EUC is the first accredited program of its kind in Cyprus and Greece. The program provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills to foster professional growth. Flexible class scheduling allows working students the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications as practicing physiotherapists. Students undertake clinical training and practice in hospitals, physiotherapy centers and sports teams and centers. Students are trained in state-of-the-art laboratories and research facilities and are well-equipped with skills that allow them to undertake research.
Speech Language Pathology: Communication Disorders
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Speech Language Pathology is the first accredited program in Speech Pathology in Cyprus and Greece.  The MSc in Speech Language Pathology with a concentration in Communication Disorders enhances interdisciplinary approaches and advances students’ research skills in Speech Language Pathology. The Program provides Allied Health Professionals (except Speech Therapists) with an in-depth, multidisciplinary study of communication disorders to better support children and adults. The MSc prepares students for doctoral studies and research in speech pathology and communication disorders. Public Health (Distance Learning)

The MPH in Public Health at EUC prepares students to manage healthcare operations and to assess and improve quality standards to assure a high level of care. Students are equipped with knowledge and skills in scientific, management and leadership foundations that allow them to apply WHO policy and local healthcare infrastructure demands. The program provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills to foster professional growth and research skills to contribute positively to the field. The program’s online delivery  allows working students the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications. Clinical Speech Language Pathology

The MSc in Speech Language Pathology is the first accredited program in Speech Pathology in Cyprus and Greece.  The program provides students with in-depth knowledge to enhance their clinical qualifications, introduces the concentration in interdisciplinary intervention approaches, and extends their research skills in Speech Pathology. The Clinical Speech Pathology program provides Speech Therapy graduates with comprehensive study of evidence-based practices, and enhances knowledge and skills in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. The MSc prepares students for doctoral studies and research in speech pathology. The online MSc in Speech Language Pathology offers students an online postgraduate program with advanced theoretical, research and clinical courses with independent targeted research. The program’s two concentrations (Speech Pathology-Children and Speech Pathology-Adults) provide specialized clinical knowledge and skills for the prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and education in speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults of various cultural backgrounds. The program enhances evidence-based clinical skills to serve in a variety of work environments such as hospitals, schools, the private sector and rehabilitation centers. The e-Learning MSc advances the knowledge and skills of students in the preparation, implementation, and critical evaluation of Research and Outcome Measures and prepares students for further studies and research in Speech Language Pathology. The program offers continuing education opportunities to Speech Therapists and contributes to high level Speech Pathology services integrating the latest developments in theoretical and clinical research.  
Public Health: Primary Healthcare (Distance Learning)

The Master in Public Health (M.PH.), with a concentration in Primary Healthcare, at EUC equips students with knowledge and understanding of the principles, values and organization of primary healthcare globally.  The program provides students with clinical skills in prevention and management of the most common acute and chronic conditions in primary care. The program provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills to foster professional growth and research skills to contribute positively to the field. The program’s online delivery allows working students the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications. Graduates are able to contribute to applied health research, public health policy formation and practice.
Public Health: Infection Prevention and Control (Distance Learning)
( 18 months )
The Master in Public Health (M.PH.), with a concentration in Infection Prevention and Control, at EUC provides students with knowledge and skills to apply the principles of the prevention, control and management of infectious diseases from different perspectives.  Students will acquire core knowledge related to Public Health and be equipped with evidence-based conceptual and practical tools to confront global health issues and respond to and apply management principles to disease outbreaks and antimicrobial resistance. The program provides students with in-depth knowledge and skills to foster professional growth and research skills to contribute positively to the field. The online delivery of the program allows working students the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications. Graduates are able to contribute to efforts of disease prevention, life prolongation and health promotion through organized efforts of public and private organizations.
Nursing
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The Master in Nursing at EUC offers the opportunity to qualified nurses to deepen their knowledge and clinical skills in one of three areas of specialization Community Nursing, Mental Health Nursing or Emergency and Intensive Care Nursing. Graduates of the Mental Health Nursing concentration, through application to the Cyprus Nursing and Midwifery Council, are able to be included on the Registry of Mental Health Nurses.  

Doctorate Degrees

Nursing
( 3 years, Doctorate )
The doctoral degree in Nursing, through a minimum of three year, aims to develop research skills and abilities of candidates, to enhance their critical thinking, to establish their research ethics and to enable them to design, develop, coordinate and implement a research study.  The PhD graduates will be able to work in administrative, academic and research positions or as consultants in public or private organizations.  Additionally, they could be employed in decision-making centers formulating policy for nursing or the healthcare sector in general.  Furthermore, graduates could pursue a career as post-doctorate researchers in European and International research projects and exploit major research funding opportunities in the field.
Physiotherapy
( 3 years, PhD )
PhD holders in Physiotherapy will be able to work as academics, researchers, scholars, experts or consultants in a variety of Physiotherapy sectors. They can be employed in the public and private sector, in universities and research centers, in decision making and policy formulating centers in voluntary and non-governmental organizations or become self-employed. They could also pursue a career as post-doctorate researchers in European and International research projects and networks which aim to enhance basic and applied research in the field of Physiotherapy, and successfully exploit the major research funding opportunities available.
Public Health
( 3 years, Doctorate )
Jointly offered by the School of Medicine and the School of Sciences, the PhD in Public Health trains candidates in a broad range of disciplines (medicine, healthcare, biological, environmental and social sciences) to be independent scholars and researchers in the field. At the core of this interdisciplinary program, students receive training in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Research Methodology. Through taught courses and guest lecture series, high-priority public health issues will be explored including climate change, pandemic response and preparedness, tackling health misinformation, lifestyle and chronic disease epidemiology, reproductive epidemiology and women’s health, active and healthy ageing, and population health intelligence (Precision Public Health). Graduates will be able to provide effective public health service or scholarly support at a national and/or international level.
Exercise, Health and Nutrition
( 3 years )
The doctoral studies in Exercise, Health and Nutrition at EUC is a multidisciplinary approach to the scientific study of nutrition, wellness and physical activity—all significant in fighting most public health problems in our time. With a curriculum grounded in the sciences, students receive training in advanced research methodologies and biostatistics. Through research skills and experience acquired, PhD holders will be able to work as academics, researchers, scholars, experts or consultants in a variety of organizations. They can be employed in the public and private sector, in universities and research centers, and in decision-making and policy-formulating centers.

Bachelor Degrees

Pharmacy
( 5 years , Bachelor of Science )
The program of Pharmacy (MPharm, Integrated Master) at EUC provides students with the knowledge and skills in the full range of pharmaceutical sciences, including pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, pharmaceutical care and communication, pharmaceutical law and bioethics, biopharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical technology, toxicology, chemistry, biochemistry, and anatomy/physiology. Pharmacy students benefit from the state-of-the-art laboratories, faculty expertise and research infrastructure of the School of Medicine through close collaboration between programs. The Pharmacy program is listed in the World List of Pharmacy Schools and is a member of the International Federation of Pharmacists, allowing students to benefit from the academic network these recognitions provide. Graduates can sit examinations to become fully licensed and registered pharmacists through competent authorities in Cyprus, Greece and throughout the EU upon completion of the program.
Sports Science and Physical Education
( 4 years , Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Sports Science and Physical Education at EUC provides students with knowledge in the basic life sciences of biology, nutrition, physiotherapy and anatomy.   Students take full advantage of EUC’s sports center, gym and physical therapy center.  In their last year, students can choose between the specializations of Competitive Sport – Coaching or Exercise and Health to focus on their own interests and career goals. Graduates are able to work as Physical Education teachers at all educational levels in the public and private sector.  Practical training in schools, sports clubs, sports associations, fitness and wellness centers and rehabilitation centers prepares graduates for immediate employment.
Biological Sciences (General Biology)

The BSc in Biological Sciences at EUC provides students with the choice of specialization in General Biology or General Microbiology. This degree program covers the fundamentals of biology and microbiology with opportunities to explore a wide range of subjects such as human genetics, environmental biology, medical biology, marine biology and microbiology. Biomedical Sciences

The BSc in Biomedical Sciences at EUC prepares students to play a key role in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and diseases.  This degree program covers the fundamentals of biology, biochemistry, anatomy, immunology and physiology in relation to human health and disease.   Learning sophisticated laboratory techniques, students are trained to perform tests and analyses to provide essential diagnostic information and to determine and monitor a course of treatment for patients. Our graduates are equipped with sound laboratory skills, communication and writing skills and high ethical standards for immediate employment. The program also enables graduates to pursue postgraduate studies in health professions in order to become medical doctors or to follow an academic or research career in the medical or biomedical fields.
Nutrition and Dietetics
( 4 years , Bachelor of Science )
The BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics at EUC prepares students to play a key role in good health and nutrition that is essential to an individual’s quality of life. The program prepares students with knowledge and skills to promote healthy eating and lifestyle choices and to cater to special nutritional needs in medical or institutional settings. The program is developed to meet the requirements set by international professional associations such as the European Federation of the Association of Dietitians (EFAD) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics of the United States. Nutrition and Dietetics students undertake practical training in hospitals, health centers, schools, nursing homes, sports federations and food industries as part of the degree. Graduates of the program are eligible to register for the Cyprus Board for Food Scientists, Food Technologists and Dieticians and to continue to become fully qualified clinical dietitians through postgraduate study.

Cancer Biology
( 18 months , Master of Science )
The MSc in Cancer Biology at EUC is the first program of its kind in Cyprus.  Based on the latest developments in the field, the program provides students with an in-depth understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying cancer development.  Students are exposed to novel preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches using new technologies to deliver personalized medical treatment to cancer patients. The degree is targeted to students with undergraduate degrees in biology, biomedical sciences, medicine, pharmacology, radiotherapy, nursing or other biology-oriented fields.  Chemistry, physics or computer science graduates with a biology background may apply.  Students are supported by faculty who are experts in their field, distinguished visiting professors from abroad and modern laboratory facilities on campus. Through the Erasmus+ program, students are able to participate in high-quality research projects and thesis work with collaborating laboratories abroad.
Applied Nutrition and Dietetics
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics at EUC enables health sciences graduates to gain specialized knowledge in Clinical Dietetics and Sports Nutrition.  The program’s clinical training component meets the requirements of EU, UK and US professional boards and associations, and the faculty promote a learning environment that fosters critical thinking, decision making and professional growth. Flexible class scheduling allows students to continue working while they advance their professional qualifications. Graduates can register with the Cyprus Registration Board for Food Scientists, Food Technologists and Dieticians as Clinical Dietitians, provided that they have completed their basic studies in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Applied Sport Science
( 18 months, Master of Science )
The MSc in Applied Sport Science at EUC provides students with advanced and applied knowledge in Exercise Biochemistry, Sports Biomechanics, Sports Nutrition, Sport and Exercise Physiology, Physical Capacity Evaluation (Ergometry), Coaching Design and Monitoring and more. Through a well-structured learning experience, students develop the necessary skills to plan, mentor and evaluate both the training process and physical conditioning of competitive athletes and leisure sport participants. Students specialize in maximizing athletes’ performance in competitive sports and promoting human health and wellbeing in the wider population. Instruction and laboratory/practical applications take place in a state-of-the-art and dynamic academic and research environment, where through interactive applications, sports professionals can supplement their existing knowledge and upgrade the skills required for further professional development.

Jointly offered by the School of Medicine and the School of Sciences, the PhD in Cancer Biology and Clinical Oncology trains candidates to become independent scholars and researchers in biomedical sciences, contributing to progress in the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. At the core of this program, students receive training in Cancer Biology, Clinical Oncology, Biostatistics and Research Methodology. Through taught courses and intensive research work, students explore the molecular etiology and clinical presentation of different human cancers. Students will develop independent practical laboratory and clinical skills using the most up-to-date equipment and techniques and be encouraged to problem-solve and innovate to address important biological and medical questions. Graduates will be able to use their strong scientific background for continued research and expertise in educational institutions, research labs, diagnostic centers and biotech and pharmaceutical industries.
