La Casa De Papel arrives in Cyprus for the first time at our University
The creators of the well-known and very popular TV series “La Casa De Papel”, which attracted more than 2 million viewers worldwide, are coming to Cyprus for the first time!
More specifically, two of the main creators of the series – Javier Urosas, designer and visual effects supervisor and Fina Martinez, producer of the series credits – will be the main speakers at the 5th International Motion Festival (IMF) to be held from on 6-9 May 2019 at European University Cyprus and the Leventis Art Gallery.
The festival also includes: 4 workshops, 15 speeches, 213 films from 56 countries with 40 nominations, and 2 exhibitions.
The Festival follows the great success of the previous 4 events (2012, 2013, 2015, 2017) and is organized by the Department of Arts of European University Cyprus. It is the first of its kind in Cyprus, as well as in the wider region of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
IMF has established itself as the platform for viewing innovative motion videos including animated graphics, two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation, video art and short films. Having emphasised the emergence of innovative and pioneer approaches in the field of animation and video, experimental techniques and creative approaches to interpersonal, social, cultural, economic and political issues, as well as converging science, fantasy and art, the festival was awarded three times by the European Festival Association winning the EFFE distinction.
